Thanks to all that participated in the Janet Jackson "Discipline" boycott that was successful. The infringing album "Discipline" sold 179,000 copies in the first week. That’s roughly half of what her last album “Damita Jo” sold in the first week. Then in the second week "Discipline" slid, selling 51,000, copies then 35,000 copies in the third week according to Hits Daily Double.

Those are not good numbers after three weeks of sale for a major release. Not to mention they spent all that money on making the infringing album, shooting two costly videos and promoting it everywhere. In light of the latter it really should have sold way better than that, but it didn’t. Thanks again for participating in the boycott.
