September 30, 2007 Goodnight all, hope tonight catches you in a good mood. I feel good. I've been listening to some old music. Earlier today I watched a bit of a movie, before I took a nap. I can barely stay awake writing this. I'm yawning...a lot (no, not cause my writing is boring). By the way, what's the physiological reason people yawn, other than being sleepy or bored. I have to look that up. I've not really done anything today to make me tired. Hey, honesty never hurt anyone (well, unless you're a criminal during a government interrogation). But I'm gonna stay awake and write this. I overdid it work wise this
It's been an eventful month. A lot of different things happening. I spent the past week doing a lot of writing and editing. It got a bit tedious, the editing part, but it reminded me of how much I love my work. Mixing music can be great, but it will get drawn out when you're going over stuff scrutinizing recording levels. There was one song that I did about 10 mixes for. The week before that I did a lot of book editing. That coupled with writing for the site six days a week and taking care of my mom keeps me very busy. When I go to bed at night, usually pretty late, I am exhausted. But at least I'm leading an honest life and that is important to me. I can sleep at night and I have my faith in God to carry me through. THE ARTIST OF THE MONTH
The artist of the month is singer/musician Jonathan Butler. Talk about a man with talent. He has done great music over the years. I've loved his music and soulful jazz sound since I was a teenager. His latest album is titled Brand New Day. Visit his site at www.jonathanbutler.com |
