November 1, 2002

I started work on a new film project yesterday. A very important one. I believe by God's grace it will be one of the most important ones I make. It's a very emotional film.

I spoke to my aunt in England on the phone this morning. It was very nice to hear from her. She's doing well. She is retired now and is spending time traveling. I remember since I was a child, she would send me stuff from Britain. I always appreciated it. I've been thinking about England a lot this week. I usually think about there often, but a lot this week.

I've been working on plans to start a restaurant. It's been a fun project for me. By God's grace I've written the menu, planned the architectural design, made a business plan and I've started registering it. It's something I've wanted to do for a while. My mom is an excellent chef, she can make any dish and I've learned about cuisine from her, from books and television shows.

My dad can cook too (I remember he would pick me up after school, we would go to the beach, then go home and he would make me a snack or take me to my favorite restaurant).

Sonustar has been and is my main priority and I love working on the projects for it. There are other decisions I have to make regarding the restaurant before I start it because I'm moving soon, but it's something that if God is willing, I hope to launch soon. I hope you have a good day.

November 8, 2002

Good morning. It's November 8th...a scary day in deed, for it was the day I was born - birds fly backwards, the wind howls through the trees bending them, little animals run in fear - . Ok, now I'm laughing.

To put it simply, today is my birthday. My 25th year was very productive and I learned so much. Another year that God gave me life and I thank Him for it. To celebrate my birthday, I'm going to dinner and a movie with my family and friends. That's how I've celebrated my birthday the past few years.

My parents used to throw big birthday parties for me with a DJ (my dad was the DJ at my parties) but I got out of that phase and preferred something more quiet. So for the past few years, I go to a favorite restaurant with my family and friends *cough* and my parents foot the bill.

A lot of times I don't remember it's my birthday until my little god brother says you're birthday is in a few weeks. His birthday is a few days after mine. He and his mom call me on the morning of my birthday (we do the same on their birthdays and or holidays). They are sweet. We're not related by blood, but they are my family as well.

I spoke to my little sister yesterday and as usual she made me laugh. She spent some time with me here a few weeks ago and we had a great time. Yesterday, we were talking about her next trip here.

I recorded a song few days ago. That song was not for my album but another project. I'm not finished with that song yet. I've also been programming beats. I write songs everyday except the on the Sabbath. By God's grace, I have so many songs now.

I've also been working on different dishes for the restaurant. I've settled on most of the main courses, but will make a few adjustments. The signature dish will be one that my mom has made for years. She is allowing me to use the recipe.  Saturday, I baked a chocolate dessert that is to go with chocolate ice-cream and a chocolate sauce on the menu. It turned out well.

I've been doing some painting as well. I painted the foyer a different color. The foyer is big so it took a bit of time. I much prefer this color though. I had the front door changed as well. If the old frame didn't need to be ripped out to accommodate the new one, I would have like to have changed it myself, but that's too time consuming right now. I did like the old door though. It was an old wooden Spanish style door. The new one is nice too and it's made of steel.

I did some work this morning, but I'm gonna take the rest of the day off. I want to go over to Miami Beach, then to one of my favorite record stores, then the mall (I'm not a shop-a-holic), the movies, then dinner.

I love going to the movies, so I better take advantage of that while I can. I really like going to the record store as well. I can spend a couple hours there. It's one of those places that I would have liked to have worked. Me around all those CDs...have you ever seen a kid when they've had too much sugar, that's what I would have looked like working in a record store, like a kid in a candy store.

Then again with my record/CD collection at home and my dad's collection at our family home, it is like living in a record store. Only thing is, neither one of us would sell any of the records in our collections. Well, only my CDs that I record commercially that will be available on the store page and in record stores soon (shameless advertising).

Have a good day guys.

November 11, 2002

I had a lovely birthday. I want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes. I really appreciate it. I had an eventful day. I did go over to the beach and out to dinner. I didn't go to the movies though. I was getting ready to leave the house, then by God's grace I started getting lyrics and melodies for this song I'd been working on, so I started recording it and I left a few hours later than I planned to. The movie I was going to see opened a few weeks ago anyway, so I can easily catch it later.

I tried a few new things at dinner, thinking to myself this better be chicken. I had a great meal though. The weather was so nice. It was cool and windy. It's not usually windy here. It's usually hot and humid.

One guy was staring at me and then all of a sudden another guy just went straight for me and started asking me out. It was funny. He was really confident. He asked me what I needed, offered to take me anywhere I wanted to go, even offering me money.

I wouldn't accept money from a guy though or go somewhere with a guy I don't know. It was a little embarrassing cause people were around hearing the whole thing, still, it was flattering and funny at the same time. He was nice, but I declined. Like I said before, I don't want to date right now. I want to wait until I finish the CD. I'm almost finished recording it though.

Tomorrow is my god-brother's birthday. He's going to be 13. My mom and I decided on a gift for him based on what he has been telling me he wants. He will ask you over and over what you're getting for his gift. His mom won't tell him what she is getting him, but he knows I'm the one that will tell him before anyone else. This year was no different. I did better this year though. He usually gets the answer out of me much sooner than the 11th (which is one day before his birthday). It's the same with Christmas.

Things are going very well here. I wish I cold tell you more, but I can't. God willing when everything is released, it will be great talking to you about it on here and you can say you heard about it first.

Happy Birthday to my god-brother John. He is 13 today. He is a very nice person and very intelligent. He's a real comedian too. His jokes are hilarious. Happy Birthday!

I did mostly paper work today. I have a few new programs that I have to try out. I also have to finish recording the song I started recording on my birthday. I love that song. It has a really nice sound to it.

November 19, 2002

Last week was a busy week. I've been doing a lot of paper work. I did do some recording last week as well, but it's been mostly paperwork and a lot of songwriting. I thank God for those songs. I really enjoy writing. I've been spending  time cataloguing items as well.

My god brother John's birthday party was held at a park this year. It was in Palm Beach in the city Jupiter, by a place called Jupiter by the sea which is on the intracostal. The architecture was also very interesting. There were homes on the waterfront that had charming designs. The water over there was so beautiful. The weather was great. The kids had a great time. They spent most of their time playing football. My god brother wants to be a professional football player.

His mom made a few birthday cakes and a lot of food. She did a good job. Still, I decided to make a joke of course, about one of the cakes just to annoy her because they make jokes about us too. One of the cakes was shaped like a horseshoe and I knew that, but to wind her up I asked her why she made the cake in the shape of the letter U, when John's name begins with the letter J. She laughed, but still had that "if all these people weren't here I would knock you out" look on her face. Actually she is a good cook and she can bake as well, but don't tell her I said that.

Today is going pretty well so far. I'm here typing up more documents from hand written papers and writing and revising as I go along. I did some recording yesterday as well. I recorded a few vocals for a song I started recording last week as well as working on vocals for Disciples Dirge. I've recorded a lot of vocals for Disciples Dirge already, but I wasn't finished with the song and didn't want to go back to it until I was ready to record more for it. It's the only track on the album left to finish up the vocals for.

November 23, 2002

Hope you are doing well. Things are going well here. I've been doing a lot of stuff. I've been recording songs for myself and other projects I'm working on. I've also been doing a lot of song writing.

I'm still cataloging, as I mentioned 3 days ago. I've been spending a few hours a day working on that. It's progressing very well. I'm on page 90. I have to type up my handwritten papers, some of them old and I'm making revisions as I go along. I did about 15 pages today. It's not as simple as just typing due to the revisions. The revisions are not grammatical errors, just new things I've added on certain pages. Otherwise, I would have typed up a lot more already. The whole things looks like it's gonna be about about 500 pages.

I helped my god brother with his homework by email a few days ago. I usually help him over the phone, but it was getting late, so I emailed him the help and he received it the next day when he got home from school. He is doing very well in school and has nice friends that spend time with him.

My little sister is also doing well. Yesterday, she told me that she is getting braces. She doesn't seem to mind though. I had a great time when she was here a few months ago. I speak to her and my god-brother on the phone and by instant messenger often, so I keep up with what's going on in their lives. They both make me laugh with the stuff they say and write. I love them both. I try to help and encourage them. It's important to me that they are happy and well adjusted. God has given them a lot and I pray that by His grace, they will do well in their lives.

I did some gardening today. That was a bit exhausting because they were mid-sized plants. I had to dig holes, lift up plants and place them, then re-sod around it. My neighbor offered to help me, but I don't really like bothering people. Still it was very kind of him to offer. I want to wait a few days until the gardener mows the lawn to add mulch and a border around the plants. I enjoy gardening. Though it can be strenuous, it's relaxing and gives me time to think.

Tonight I made salmon, mushroom and carrots baked in a pastry crust with rice and Brussels sprouts on the side. I've been testing out different dishes for the restaurant menu I wrote. It's going pretty well so far. Last Saturday I made Beef Wellington. That's included on the menu. Well, I'm gonna go eat dinner and watch TV. I hope you have a good night.
