Good afternoon, how are you guys doing today. I hope all is well. I'm feeling pretty good. I'm here working on a few songs. I have a lot of programming and editing to do. The weather is really nice today.

There was a contest on a pro athlete's web site that I visit. He didn't know they were filming him while he was dancing at an event. Well, his webmaster has a sense of humor and makes jokes about him often, so he decided to put the clip on his site and started a contest where web site visitors were to write funny or disparaging commentary about his dancing. I thought it would be fun and since I write commentary on this site, I figured I'd give it a try. I decided to take the comedic, but kind approach.

Well, I won one of the awards -Aisha does royal wave-...yea, but before you guys congratulate me...uh, I won the brownnoser award! for "actually thinking he could dance" (that's right and I'd do it again...and you and your friend better enjoy the brownnosing, as I don't brownnose very often- I'm kidding). Well, apparently of all the submissions, I was the only one who thought his dancing was okay, hence the brownnoser award. By the way, I thought we were making jokes about him - how did I get jokes cracked about me in the process as well (I'm kidding). Regardless of what you guys say, I still say he is ready for Riverdance! (more brownnosing). I'm kidding again.

My little sister is laughing about this. Well, I'm not surprised because the day before I laughed at her about something, so she's quite enjoying this. Her friends said she reminds them of a certain actress who plays a very precocious, cunning, yet slightly whiny teenager on a TV show. Looking for sympathy, she asked me if she reminds me of that character. Well, I don't watch the show, only saw a bit of it once, so things looked very good for my little sister...until she showed me a pic of the actress and then I remembered and genuinely exclaimed, "Whoa! you do remind me of her!" Who told me to say that. My little sister wanted to knock me out.

Good evening, it's now 5:45 PM. I'm recording right now and decided to take a break and write a little note on here. I did internet/computer work earlier and now I'm recording a song and a few mixes. It's really quiet around here right now and I'm enjoying that. There's usually a lot of stuff going on, so I don't mind the quiet time for a bit.

I've been speaking on line to another webmaster for a few weeks now about sports. She has another web site for the same athlete I mentioned a couple days ago, whose web site had the dance commentary contest. She also has a site for his brother, who is also a pro athlete. I was telling her his brother should do more interviews, as they are both very intelligent. Then she told me about an interview Q&A she was preparing for him and asked me if I wanted to ask a question and I said yes (thanks again).

I asked him about his relationship with his brother growing up and if he tried to follow him around and emulate him - of course, I had to include a joke, so I asked him if he ever tried to ditch his little brother when they were kids because of that …and he said yes he did try to ditch him a few times - haha, uh I mean, aww his poor little brother.

First the wisecracks from everyone via the dance commentary, well, except me of course (brownnosing again) and now this. He shouldn't have tried to ditch him…Thomas should have made him do all his chores and his own as well, while he watched TV and supervised (when they are young they need supervision to make sure they do the job properly). I'm kidding. He also wrote that when he stopped trying to ditch him and accepted him, that's when his little brother stopped trying to spend as much time with him and his friends and became more independent - and that they have a good relationship. I think that's great.

Speaking of that...-Aisha remembers little sister is going to visit soon and thinks of all the work she could make her do around the house-. I'm kidding and knowing my little sister, she would charge me to do the work around the house, then charge me not to tell daddy I tried to make her do the work around the house.

I watched The Miss Universe Pageant with my mom last night. My mom used to be in beauty pageants when she was my age; her highest placing was second place. You go girl! I still think you should have won that last one; the winner didn’t have anything on you. She probably bribed the judges; I'm just kidding, please, no hate mail.

While we were watching the show, when they narrowed it down to five, I picked the winner before they announced it. When the winner was announced and it turned out to be the one I said would win, my mom asked me what made me think that she would win. I said, some people have that look, that star quality and they stand out. It's the same kind of intuition you use in the entertainment industry as well.

My mom made me laugh through out the show. She kept saying things like, "that one has had silicone injections in her lips" and pointed out that contestants have implants/collagen injections. She said when she was in pageants, all that stuff was not allowed and she said women couldn't even wear wigs/extensions. Not that my mom would have needed that. She has a lot of hair.

I did a lot of songwriting this morning. I also had a consultation with a lawyer this afternoon that I'm going to retain regarding some things some people did that they should not have. I also have to find another attorney to handle something else, but I won't need to do that for a few more weeks, as that has to do with retail. I also spoke to a music publisher this morning. I'm trying to work out a deal with them regarding a  song. It's standard, so there shouldn't be any problems with that. Things are going very well. Hopefully I will do some recording later if there is enough time. I have other things I have to do today.

My dad was interviewed by a film company again recently for a show about former soccer players. As I mentioned before, he used to play soccer professionally. He's gonna send me a copy of the interview. My dad's favorite soccer player was George Best. I read recently that his son is recording an album. What's with soccer player's children becoming singers, oh wait, never mind (well, that joke backfired).

I saw this really good show on Argentine Soccer. They've got a really good league. Their crowds are very enthusiastic as well. I saw another program about Asian Soccer as well. I find all the leagues very interesting.

Yesterday I had some lychee, which is a Chinese fruit that I haven't had in a while. It's pretty good especially when it's cold.

Hi, how are you guys doing. I had a wonderful day. It is now 11:14 PM. I worked on the film this morning. Then in the afternoon, I did a lot of songwriting and finished writing this great song for the soundtrack to accompany the film. I'm very excited about that song. It's one of my favorites. I also got another great song for the soundtrack tonight. I'm really pleased with how that album sounds so far. I'm looking forward to recording the new songs for the record. I've recorded a lot of the soundtrack already. I think these two songs make a great addition to it.

My album is almost completed. I only have to add a few more parts to some of the songs. I did some recording for it today as well.

June 10, 2003

Note: To the businesses that have been submitting offers to the site, thank you, I appreciate it, but I'm not doing any performances or promotion until the album is completed. There will be a page on the new web site where you can submit offers once the project is launched. Thank you.

I had a long recording session last night and I didn't get to sleep until 4AM. I have to continue with that recording session today.

I keep finding things. Yesterday I found someone's bag and I returned it to the lady who lost it. Boy was she happy to see that bag. Hey, it's better to find stuff than to lose it, because you can  return it to the person who lost it, whereas some people wouldn't return your property if they found it.

June 12, 2003

I had a long day (mind you, it's only 8:11 PM which is still kind of early for me). I did mostly paperwork today. I'm going to start recording in a few minutes.

Remember the athlete I mentioned last week (the dance commentary contest), he got injured. That's one of the bad things about being an athlete, injuries. It happens to a lot of athletes, it's a risk associated with sports, but I think he will recover from it soon. Thankfully, his injury wasn't serious enough to require a long absence to recuperate. Get well soon.

I had a great day; I got a lot of work done. I did work for the film today and the soundtrack as well. I spent time recording and programming music. Things are going very well. I couldn't ask God for more.

Since I don't usually write on the site on Sundays, I want to wish my dad (I love you) and all and all the dads out there a Happy Father's Day. I hope you have a great Father's Day and a great weekend.

June 17, 2003

Good afternoon. How's everyone doing today. I'm doing very well. I've been working on the film this week. I'm really enjoying putting the film together. Everything's been favorable so far.

The movie's soundtrack is coming along very nicely. I only have about 4 more songs to record for it. Then I have to edit and master it. This week I've also been working on the art direction and design for my debut album and singles.

I also have to do more work on my book this week. As I mentioned before, I'm including the diary and sound off pages of this site as a bonus in the book. I've been copyrighting these web pages and their content anyway. The book isn't about the pages of the web site, as I wrote, it is a bonus. The book is about something else. I've been very candid in what I've written in the book thus far. Certain books usual have someone else doing the writing with or for the writer - but I'm actually writing my book.

June 18, 2003

I had a recording session last night and didn't get to sleep until about 5 AM this morning. I recorded two songs and it was a good session.

Song of the week: Avalon's "Everything To Me." It's a really nice song that I like. I hear it often on Spirit FM

Someone sent a link to the site for www.tennisministry.com, so I decided to post it since it is something positive.

One of my friends in England emailed me yesterday bragging about the great tan he got due to the lovely, sunny weather in England this week. Oh, yea... give it a couple months, we'll see what becomes of your tan then...haha. I'm kidding, but you look nice with or without a tan.

Well, I have to get back to work. It's 4:30 PM and I still have several calls to make and other work to complete. Have a good day.

June 19, 2003

I'm here listening to some music and doing paperwork. I'm having a really nice day. I've done mostly paperwork for the movie and the promo tour. I've sorted out a lot of the the cities and venues and the other arrangements that go with it. I only need to fill a couple more positions for the promo tour. I'm just going to pick reputable people that I know or who come highly recommended. There's lots of great talent around here.

Yesterday, I told my mom the details of my promo campaign and she likes it. I also had a long conversation with my dad over the phone. We talked about a lot of things. It was nice. We speak by phone every few days and see each other every couple months.

June 21, 2003

I've been having a good day. I did mostly paperwork. I recorded a song for the soundtrack last night. I really love how it turned out. There's also another song I recorded last year, that I remembered yesterday. I went through my recorded songs and added it to the soundtrack. It really suits the film.

In looking through my catalogue today, I realized that in the last year, by God's grace I've recorded over 70 songs and a few hundred other beats to put with other lyrics/songs. I've written a lot more songs in addition to those, but I haven't recorded those yet.

Yesterday, I brought my mom in my studio, which is unusual, as she thinks there is too much stuff in here and she doesn't want to damage anything - so  for that reason, she doesn't come in here much (I really do have a lot of paperwork, books, CDs, records, computer and music equipment in here). When I'm in here (when am I not) she'll only knock on the door if she wants to ask me something, then I have to go answer her.

Since she was in here yesterday, I took the opportunity to show her the latest updates on my site via the computer. I usually just tell her about what I write or burn music for her to listen to in the living room. She really likes the sound off page and said I should write professionally for a newspaper. She's not internet savvy, so whenever they give a web site address on TV, she writes it down and asks me to go to that web site and print off what she wants from it.

I spoke to my god-brother today. His junior basketball team won their last three games. He is so happy about it. They are really improving. Congrats John.

June 23, 2003

Hi, I hope everyone is doing well. I'm here doing paperwork and listening to some CDs. I'm going to record later. Earlier today I watched a match and several highlights from Wimbledon. I saw the Hewitt vs. Karlovic match. Karlovic is 6'10...wow, he's short - I'm kidding.

A journo asked him if he was a big baby and he said "No...after, I start to get taller." Well, apparently haha. With that kind of height, he should be in the NBA. It would be nice to find someone to almost look Shaq in the eyes. I don't think Karlovic fully realizes what he did in defeating the defending #1 - that was quite an upset, especially for a first round match. During the match, I said to my mom, look how sunny it is in Wimbledon today and it's raining here in Miami...and she laughed.

I did some sounding off today, to read it click here.

June 25, 2003

Hi guys, hope you are doing well. I'm watching Wimbledon, while I do paperwork. I've been working on the promo tour. In doing so, it really became evident to me that Clear Channel sure owns a lot of stuff haha - from billboards for advertising, to venues to radio stations. I did know this prior, but I really noticed it yesterday while working on the promo tour. I'm much closer to finishing up everything and I'm very happy with how things are going.

I had an appointment with my attorney yesterday, which went well, praise God. As my lawyer put it "we kicked butt." He makes me laugh with the stuff he says. A couple visits ago, he asked me about playing the guitar, then said he plays it as well. Then he asked me which guitar I play and I said electric, his response made me laugh as he said "oh, I'm old, I play acoustic." I play acoustic sometimes, but I prefer the electric.

Ironically, when I called my dad last night, he mentioned again that he still wants me to be a lawyer. He says I'd make a good entertainment lawyer and it would be beneficial to me with the record company. I'd started classes a few years ago, but I wanted to focus on music, so I stopped. I knew a lot about entertainment law from the legal books I read and the time I spent in entertainment lawyers offices as a teenager. The music and movies are taking up all of my time now, though.

June 28, 2003

Good afternoon. How are you guys doing. I'm doing very well today, hope you are well too. Yesterday, I started recording a song that I'm going to do some more work on today. It's a song for the soundtrack and I've chosen it as its first single.

The site has been doing very well, the hits have doubled. I want to thank all of you for visiting. Thanks for all the emails as well and I have been reading them. I want to say hi to another Aisha, she sent a very nice email to the site (I like your name, I think I've heard it somewhere before).

I wrote another article on the Sound Off page.
