DAY 1 - June 27, 2006

Late morning flight to Jamaica.

Dad picked me up at airport. Saw little sister @ house. Gave little sister the digital camera I bought her for her birthday, as she accidentally broke her old one.

Met one of my late grandmother's cousins.

In the evening, spoke to dad’s lawyer about some business and legal matters.

Watched some TV.

Later that night went online to check on site.

Went to sleep.

DAY 2 - June 28, 2006

Had breakfast.

Went to the Mixing Lab Recording Studio in Kingston. Dad’s friend owns it. Engineer’s name was Kamal. Dad complemented my vocals (didn't know it was me on a certain track, as I'd played samples of different things). Turns out I didn’t need the studio time after all, but the engineer told me some helpful things. They were very nice.

Went to supermarket, electronics store and bank. Man walked up to dad in store and said, “You’re the one that scored that goal.” He used to play soccer professionally.

Had dinner with family.

Later in the night, tweaked web site a bit. Went to sleep at almost 2AM.

DAY 3 - June 29, 2006

Had breakfast.

Filming in Jamaica.

Caught an afternoon flight back to Miami (well, Ft. Lauderdale).

Dinner @ Chili’s in the airport.

Caught night flight to Houston. Got suckered out of my window seat again. But it’s okay, they wanted to sit together. I really have to stop allowing this.

Ft. Lauderdale (Florida) to Houston flight was late. Got on plane at 8:30 PM. Pilot said he was going to try to make up for lost time so people wouldn't miss their connecting flights (ahem, me...and a few others). Switched flights in Houston, bound for Los Angeles.

Flight attendant said "well done, as I made the flight by roughly 5 minutes...and I think from the looks of it, I was one of the last people to board. Hey, I had to use the bathroom first. Natured called and I answered. I don’t like bathrooms on planes. Airplane bathroom + turbulence = trouble. Ever been bounced around in one of those things when the turbulence starts. No fun.

Caught 10:00 PM flight to LA. They showed the movie “Last Holiday.” Fell asleep towards the end of 2 hour flight.

Arrived in LA. It was a bit cool. 66 degrees. Clear night. Nice weather.

Arrived at the Hotel Angeleno in Brentwood/Bel Air. Nice, modern hotel. Very comfortable. Will make trip easier.

DAY 4 - June 30, 2006

In the morning, watched Argentina v. Germany. In the 80th minute, an equalizer goal, a header, evened the score.

Went online for about an hour to read news and check on web site (this one).

Saw actor Josh “Tad Hamilton” Duhamel in traffic in a black truck right off Sunset Blvd in Brentwood (the street adjacent to the hotel). He was driving with a friend or relative.

Visited cell phone store in Westwood.

Lunch @ Burger King in Westwood.

Went to Beverly Hills. Did some filming.

Went to Hollywood and West Hollywood and did some filming.

Picked up dinner at Baja Fresh and went back to the hotel.

Had takeaway dinner and watched TV at the hotel.

DAY 5 - July 1, 2006

Woke up at 6:26 AM on a Saturday morning - very unnatural. Still on Eastern Time.

Went online for about an hour.

Had breakfast/lunch or I guess you'd call it brunch @ the Starbucks on the Sunset Strip. Chicken, bacon and cheese sandwich with a tangerine caffeine free drink smoothie thingy.

Filming in Hollywood.

Did a tour of studios and homes, easiest way to get the photos I needed for a project. Tour guide on studios/Hollywood tour (exterior, as I had no intention of going into any of the studios) was shocked that I kept getting the trivia questions about filmmaking and Hollywood right. He finally just said “Are you guessing these!” and I laughed and said “no.”

During the tour, a robbery went down and the Police were cordoning off the area. As my aunt would say, “This stuff just follows you doesn’t it.” The tour director thought it was a movie set…but it turned out it wasn’t (LOL).

Shopping at Hollywood and Hyland

Bought British import CD and ginger drink (non-alcoholic) in Virgin Megastore in Hollywood.

Got take away from Baja Fresh for dinner (Nachos)

Bought 2 shoes and a belt in Westwood.

Went back to hotel and had take away while watching TV. Great British special was on PBS.

DAY 6 - July 2, 2006

Got online for about an hour.

Did some filming in Malibu.

Went to the Malibu Country Mart. Bought mom some perfume after testing the ones they had available. Also bought her a blouse, a hat and some really cute socks.

Lunch @ Starbucks (Chicken, bacon and cheese sandwich) with tangerine snow cone smoothie thingy BRAIN FREEZE (UGH that hurt).

After I finished lunch, I quickly exited the Starbucks, grabbing the first baby I could find, securely placing the child on my lap and sped away (just kidding LOL).

Filmed @ the Santa Monica Pier.

Went to The Lobster restaurant in Santa Monica. Very busy restaurant. Decided on take away, as I was tired. Sole, artichoke leaves, asparagus and mashed potatoes.

The Lobster restaurant

Went back to the hotel and had the take away dinner while watching TV.

DAY 7 - July 3, 2006

Got up at 7:30 AM. Transport will be here at 8:15AM. Never really unpacked, so no work needed there. Just a shower and to get to the lobby.

Saw actor Lou Gossett at airport. He was nice and friendly to people. He is tall.

Actor Lou Gossett

Afternoon flight back to Florida. I got a window seat, but it was an emergency isle seat or something. Never in all my years of flying had I chosen this seat and they scare you a little bit. The scanner goes off when they scan your ticket and they ask you if you would be "willing to help" with this eerie look on their faces, you know, the crash face (there are four of these seats).

As she is saying the instructions I'm thinking, yea yea in case of an emergency I get off the plane first. I mean, in case of an emergency I’m to help the other passengers off the plane. OK, only the kids - otherwise, if you’re over 18, you’re not getting off the plane before me. The rest of you can forget about it. Just kidding.

Plane landed safely, thank God.
