July 10, 2004

Hi guys, I've spent the week recording, writing, editing and working on some remixes. I've been doing some video work as well. Sorry I haven't put the excerpts from the single on line yet, but with certain music industry thieves reading this site, I’d rather wait until it’s closer to when the advertising for the record begins.

A few weeks ago I wrote how my mom's friend gave me her son's mailing info, who is stationed in Iraq. I wrote him a letter and he wrote me a really nice one, which I received last Friday. Included in the letter was a 250 Dinar(s) bill (a Dinar is an Iraqi dollar).

I thought, wow, I actually have something that was in Iraq. Their money doesn't look that much different from ours. It's a very nice souvenir, thanks Mark. He wrote me a nice letter. You have to commend the soldiers for making so many sacrifices on our behalf. Just last week it was about 95 degrees here in Miami and it made me wonder how bad the heat was in Iraq, if Miami is this hot. Not to mention the constant threat of danger. And amazingly in his letter, he didn't have one complaint. He was as polite as can be. God bless them.

My godbrother's been staying with us for the week and making us laugh as usual. He's a real little comedian, much like his mother, who called and jokingly said, with him in the room with her, "I want to get rid of him for the week, so I'm sending him to you guys." They make jokes like that about each other all the time.

Note: Some of you sent me packages that couldn't fit in the post office box, but because I didn’t check the mailbox within the allotted time for holding packages, they were sent back. I’m very sorry, if you’d like, please resend them. Once again, sorry for the inconvenience.

It’s 10:16 PM, I’ve spent the day doing more work on the promo tour. My dad and my aunt have also spoken to journalists and stations they know in arranging a few interviews for me as well (Hey, I’m not against nepotism). It’s been a very good week for me. God really blessed me and helped me through a lot of situations that all turned out in my favor. So as always, I definitely thank Him.

I’m starting off with a lot of material, which is unorthodox and which is apart of why the project has taken a bit of time, but it’s been worth it for me, as it all sounds great, thank God.

Artist of the Week

The artist of the week is Building 429. They are a gifted group of musicians. I really like their first single “Glory Defined,” which is from their album, “Space In Between US,” which is slated for release on Tuesday (27th). To visit their web site please click here.

Film Of The Week

The film of the week is "The Gospel Of John," which can be purchased through Jhm.org please click here for more info. To visit the film's web site please click here.

There are two more sites I’d like to recommend this week.

The first is Powerline Radio. They have a great radio show which airs here and an accompanying web site. To visit their web site please click here.

The second is Sports Spectrum, whose link I got from the Our Daily Bread web site. As you can probably tell from the title, the site is sports related. To visit their web site please click here.
