August 31, 2007 Hi, I hope everyone is feeling good. It was a long and productive month. I got a lot done that I will post to the site soon. I went to a football match today for my godbrother's high school team. We went out to support him (1 hour and 15 minute drive). I'm thinking this thing would be a modest match. We get there and the thing looked like a concert with thousands of people, scouts and ESPN filming. They have that thing down pat. He played well, but they lost. They did put in a good effort though. Someone from his team knocked an opposing player so hard the poor boy went flying. It's generally not a good thing when one flies through the air, spins then hits the ground. And of course, we were gracious losers in the stands. Jokingly saying the other team were on steroids helped cushion the defeat and made my family and friends feel better and laugh (I was just kidding). Our friend's son was playing as well. She knows her football. Her other son is playing for UM tomorrow. My godbrother's mom kept saying the score in Spanish to make it appear less (LOL). We had a good time. They played well and tried hard and that's all that matters. THE ARTIST OF THE MONTH
The artist of the month is the band The Almost. I heard a great rendition of "Amazing Grace" that they did. I think you'll like their music. To hear their music and find out more about them go to www.thealmost.com |
