Rio, Brazil has won the 2016 Olympic bid, beating out stiff competition from such cities as Chicago, Illinois in the United States, Madrid, Spain and Tokyo, Japan.

Brazilians celebrated the win, as the Olympic games have never been held in South America before. Congrats to Brazil. The 2012 Olympics will be held in the lovely city of London.
