Obama Briefed On India Terrorist Attacks November 28. 2008
Secretary Of State, Condoleezza Rice, has briefed president-elect Barack Obama on the terrible terrorist attacks that occurred in Mumbai, India this week. Mumbai is India’s main financial center and is home to the Bollywood film industry. Rice briefs Obama on Mumbai attacks WASHINGTON (AFP) — US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has called and briefed president-elect Barack Obama on the series of attacks in Mumbai, the State Department said Friday. "I can confirm on the record that Secretary of State Rice has called president-elect Obama twice since the attacks on Mumbai began to brief him on the situation," said spokesman Gordon Duguid... Indian forces were Friday still trying to hunt down the Islamic militant gunmen holed up in the city after two days of attacks which have left 130 people dead, including at least 17 foreigners. |
