I don't think I'd ever heard Britney Spears' mom Lynne speak in an interview before today and I was quite amazed...at how simple she is (and that is not a compliment). One does not have to be Einstein to be smart, but a basic amount of common sense and street smarts wouldn't hurt.

She let her 15-year-old daughter get an apartment with an 18-year-old man and now claims she was surprised when her kid turned up pregnant at 16. Exactly what did you think they were going to do? Crochet.

You let your kids do everything, and I mean everything, too fast and excused it all because they were bringing in money that afforded you a lavish lifestyle.

Both your daughters started having sex, drinking and going to clubs at a young age, and with your approval. Most parents don't think it's a good idea for their kids to do such things whilst underage. But you did. Now you're looking around the room wondering why they both met with such dire situations so young.

You're kidding, right. Really, you can't be this simple.
