This interview was supposed to give you insight to my personality, however, my family took the liberty of asking embarrassing, smart aleck questions (yea, basically it was revenge for stuff I'd done to them).

Mom:  Who's your favorite producer?

Aisha: Me!

Mom: How do you compare music of today to music of the past?

Aisha: It stinks. Well, not all of it, but a lot of it does. Music has lost a lot over the years. In my opinion the decline in quality began in the early 90's. I know daddy attributes a lot of that to computers. In many ways computer generated music has hurt music, as you hear the deterioration in quality or lack there of - in the rhythm, melodies and harmonies. Too much reliance on computers produced that fall off. The computer will almost produce the music for you, which often sounds generic, cold and mechanical.

Mom: Where would you like to travel and put on a concert?

Aisha: Anywhere there's a good audience. Venues like Wembley, Royal Albert Hall, Brixton Academy, Madison Square Garden, Radio City, The Apollo, The Forum and the Airlines Arena in Miami are among my favorites.

Mom: Can you imagine a world without the internet?

Aisha: Mom, is that your subtle way of telling me I spend too much time on line? Just kidding. Well, it is difficult to imagine at this point, but you know me, I want to live on a farm in the country (a farm fully outfitted with high speed internet connections and electronic gadgets, of course) because I like the naturalness and serenity of the country, the birds chirping, the cows mooing and the sound of a modem logging on.

Mom: What is your favorite instrument?

Aisha: I'm not picky, anyone I can play. Probably the piano (keyboard), which as you know, is the first instrument you bought me when I was a kid.

Mom: Music has absorbed all your life, when are you gonna make time for a personal life? I want grandchildren.

Aisha: Well, just come right out and say it. I'm finished recording the CD now, so I'll go find you a son in law.

Trudi (sister): Celebrity Crush?

Aisha: Once you name a person people link you with them...and I might change my mind, which I sometimes do. Besides, I don't have a crush on anyone right now.

Trudi: Why do we have such different taste in guys?

Aisha: Because you like flamboyant guys and I like sensible ones.

Trudi: How would you define your style of music?

Aisha: Hodge podge.

Trudi: Who would you like to work with?

Aisha: My favorite musicians from when I was growing up.
